Timber Production Goes up in DPRK

Pyongyang, March 17 (KCNA) -- According to Rodong Sinmun, 19 units in the forestry sector of the DPRK have fulfilled their yearly timber production plans.

The Hwaphyong Forestry Station under the Jagang Provincial Forestry Management Bureau and Jangjin, Toan and other forestry stations under the South Hamgyong Provincial Forestry Management Bureau set an example in the timber production by developing methods for increasing production while rationally organizing manpower and conducting technical innovation emulations in conformity with the conditions of felling places.

The timber producers at various units of Ryanggang and North Hamgyong provincial forestry management bureaus, including Paekja, Tokrip, Yonsa and Yonsang forestry stations, have over-fulfilled their daily assignments by boosting cooperation among processes.

Various units of North Phyongan and Kangwon provincial forestry management bureaus, too, increased the proportion of mechanization and conducted mass movements to record high results in carrying out their process-by-process plans. -0-
