Celebrations for Korea's Liberation in Different Countries

Pyongyang, August 21 (KCNA) -- Meetings took place in Myanmar, Bulgaria and Switzerland from August 2 to 14 on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

Speeches were made at the meetings attended by personages of political parties, organizations and institutions and masses of relevant countries.

A member of the Central Executive Committee of the Myanmar Journalist Association said:

President Kim Il Sung advanced the idea of self-reliant independence and waged an arduous armed struggle to liberate Korea from the colonial rule of the Japanese imperialists.

Thanks to the victory in the great anti-Japanese war, the Korean people could regain their usurped sovereignty and freedom and advance along the road of building a new country.

The DPRK people are fully demonstrating to the whole world the pride and honor of being the citizens of a powerful nation, rallied close around His Excellency Kim Jong Un who is boundlessly loyal to the idea and leadership of President Kim Il Sung.

Personages of the Bulgaria-Korea Friendship Association, the Taekwon-Do Association in Bulgaria and the DPRK culture and information centre in Vratsa City of Bulgaria praised the President for liberating the country through the bloody anti-Japanese struggle and successfully accomplishing the historic cause of building the Party, state and army.

They wished the DPRK people greater progress in their struggle for dynamically accelerating the overall development of socialism under the leadership of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un.

The chairman of the Switzerland-Korea Committee said that Korea's liberation encouraged the peoples of many countries struggling for national liberation in colonies and that the DPRK people boundlessly revere as the eternal leader President Kim Il Sung who brought about the dawn of rebirth and the freedom, independence and wellbeing.

A congratulatory message to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting held in Switzerland. -0-
