Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, received a congratulatory message from Cyril Ramaphosa, president of the Republic of South Africa, on September 3.

The president in the message said that he and the government and people of the Republic of South Africa extend the warmest greetings and heartfelt congratulations to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and the government and people of the DPRK on the auspicious occasion of celebrating September 9, 2025, the founding anniversary of the DPRK.

The occasion serves as an opportunity for the government and people of the DPRK to look back upon the history of the country and foresee its promising future, the message noted.

Recollecting the fact that the DPRK supported South Africa during the period of its struggle for freedom, the president noted that they would like to refer to the fact that the historic relations provided a foundation for friendship between the two countries.

He wished Kim Jong Un good health, reaffirming their hope that friendship between the two countries would further grow stronger and promote the development of the bilateral relations. -0-
