Memorial Meetings Held in Different Countries on Demise Anniversary of President Kim Il Sung

Pyongyang, July 18 (KCNA) -- Memorial meetings were held in Pakistan, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, the Czech Republic and Equatorial Guinea from July 5 to 8 on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung.

Speeches were made at the meetings attended by personages of political parties, parliaments and organizations and masses in those countries.

A senator of Pakistan, a vice-chairperson of the Pakistan National Party, a member of the Central Committee of the Pakistan Awami National Party and the chairman of the Pakistan-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Committee praised the President as an extraordinary thinker and theoretician, prominent revolutionary and iron-willed brilliant commander who victoriously advanced the cause of socialism and the cause of independence against the imperialism under the banner of Juche.

Saying that the yearning of the Korean people and the world progressives for President Kim Il Sung is growing stronger with the passage of time, the chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association and the chief of the Danish Group for the Study of the Juche Idea praised the noble careers and exploits of the President, an outstanding state leader and peerlessly elder statesman.

The international secretary of the Finnish Communists' League, the chairman of the Ostfold County Committee of the Communist Party of Norway and the chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association called the President a peerless patriot, genuine internationalist and prominent leader of the world revolutionary movement who achieved the cause of national liberation under the banner of self-reliant independence, successfully realized the cause of building an independent and sovereign state and made a great contribution to the human cause of independence.

Messages to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un were adopted at the memorial meetings held in Denmark and Sweden. -0-
