Pyongyang, May 28 (KCNA) -- A lecture was given at the Korean Hall in Tokyo on May 16 to mark the 70th founding anniversary of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon).

Present there were Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, Pak Ku Ho, first vice-chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, vice-chairpersons and officials of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, chairpersons of Chongryon headquarters in Kanto area, etc.

The director of the Research Institute on History of Korean Residents in Japan gave a lecture under the title "The great leader Generalissimo Kim Il Sung, the great leader Generalissimo Kim Jong Il and the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un have made the proud 70-year-long history of Chongryon with their brilliant wisdom, outstanding leadership, boundless loving and paternal care, and the 70-year-long history of Chongryon which has remained faithful to their intentions is the one of unity and struggle in which Chongryon has made a dynamic advance, united close as one".

He said that the 70-year-long history of Chongryon is the one of the outstanding leadership and paternal care of the great leaders and the respected Marshal, the history of unity in which Chongryon has united as one under the banner of patriotism, true to the noble intentions of the great Generalissimos and the respected Marshal and the one of struggle in which it has unyieldingly fought against all sorts of discrimination and suppression by the Japanese authorities and other reactionaries at home and abroad.

He referred to the tradition of loyalty of Chongryon to the leader, the tradition of unity and the devoted and self-sacrificing spirit of Chongryon officials and patriotic compatriots recorded in the course of struggle and called on the Chongryon officials to invariably and steadfastly carry forward the tradition of patriotic loyalty and unity under the leadership of the respected Marshal. -0-
