Pyongyang, February 16 (KCNA) -- The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un received a congratulatory letter from the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) on February 16.

The letter said that, reflecting the unanimous mind of all Chongryon officials and Koreans in Japan on the occasion of the historic February holiday when the great fortune of Korea was greeted, the Chongryon Central Standing Committee pays the noblest tribute to the great leader Generalissimo Kim Jong Il, the eternal sun of Juche Korea, and extends the highest glory and warmest congratulations to the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un who is leading the cause of building a socialist power and the patriotic cause of Chongryon to victory.

It noted that Kim Jong Il, born as the son of Mt Paektu, clearly indicated the path of the Korean revolution with his gifted ideo-theoretical wisdom, made a history of great miracles with his outstanding and tested leadership, reliably defended the country and people with his iron-willed pluck and will and wrote an epic of benevolence unprecedented in history with his noble virtues and warm love in those days when he led the cause of Juche along the road of victory and glory, true to the intention of President Kim Il Sung.

His sacred leadership reached Japan, an alien land over the sea, the letter said, adding that the great General Kim Jong Il is, indeed, an outstanding leader who brought up Chongryon as a patriotic pioneer, model of patriotic loyalty and model of overseas compatriots' organization of the world, true to the noble intention of the President, and a guardian of the destiny of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan.

The letter said that the history of warm affection and kinship he had maintained with Koreans in Japan is given steady continuity thanks to the paternal loving care and meticulous care of the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.

The letter stressed that they would bring about a fresh advance in the patriotic movement to usher in a new era of prosperity of Chongryon by pooling the inexhaustible efforts of Koreans in Japan and braving any hardships, true to the important letter sent by Kim Jong Un to the participants in the 25th Congress of Chongryon, keeping pace with the advance of the people in the homeland to successfully attain the goals, set forth by the Eighth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea, through miraculous innovations winning the admiration of the world people.
