Pyongyang, February 26 (KCNA) -- A joint on-line seminar on the theme of "On the occasion of the 83rd birth anniversary of Leader Kim Jong Il" took place in Brazil on February 16.

Present there were personages and members of the Brazilian Communist Party, the Brazilian Center for the Study of Songun Politics, the Brazilian Centre for Peace and Solidarity with Peoples and the Brazilian Branch of the Korean Friendship Association.

Speeches were made there.

A member of the National Political Committee of the Brazilian Communist Party, the chairman of the Brazilian Center for the Study of Songun Politics, the chairperson of the Brazilian Center for Peace and Solidarity with Peoples, and the official representative of the Brazilian Branch of the Korean Friendship Association said that Comrade Kim Jong Il who devoted his all to defending the sovereignty and dignity of the country and realizing global independence left a very great revolutionary legacy for the country and its people.

They said that Comrade Kim Jong Il developed and enriched the Juche-oriented idea and theory founded by Comrade Kim Il Sung to provide the progressive people advancing toward independence and socialism with immortal ideological and theoretical weapons and turned the DPRK into a paradise of the people and a socialist fortress to be envied by the world people.

They praised the Korean people for dynamically advancing the socialist cause under the wise guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is adding luster to the revolutionary legacy of Kim Jong Il. -0-
