Pyongyang, August 26 (KCNA) -- A Danish organization and a Mexican figure issued a statement and a press statement on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

The Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association in a statement on August 10 said that the DPRK people remember and recollect many revolutionaries who waged a bloody struggle for the liberation of the country.

The statement said that the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung defeated the gangster-like Japanese imperialists and achieved the independence and sovereignty of Korea by rallying the people under the banner against Japan.

It praised the DPRK for steadily advancing along the road of socialism and successfully carrying forward the glorious tradition of victory under the wise guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

The chairman of the Mexico-Korea Solidarity Committee in a press statement on August 13 praised the great leader for liberating the country, saying that the Korean people defeated Japanese imperialism and achieved freedom and independence through the anti-Japanese armed struggle and made a great contribution to ensuring global peace and security. The progressive mankind regards the struggle experience of the Korean people as a model of the struggle for national liberation in colonies.

He extended firm support and solidarity to the DPRK people in their struggle for defending justice, truth and peace, rallied close around the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un. -0-
