Pyongyang, April 7 (KCNA) -- A meeting for conferring professorship and associate professorship of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea on teachers of Korean University of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) took place at the Korean Hall in Tokyo on April 2.

Pak Ku Ho, first vice-chairman and director of the Organizational Department of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon, read out a decision of the DPRK State Commission for Conferment of Academic Degrees and Titles.

Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon, addressed the conferring ceremony before handing over the certificates of academic titles.

Present there were Song Kun Hak, vice-chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee and director of its Education Department, Han Tong Song, rector of Korean University, other officials and the teaching staff of the university. -0-
