DPRK Embassy in Moscow Hosts Reception

Pyongyang, December 14 (KCNA) -- The DPRK embassy in Moscow hosted a reception on December 12 on the occasion of the ratification of the Treaty on the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Russian Federation.

Present there on invitation were Alexandr Kozlov, minister of Natural Resources and Ecology who doubles as chairman of the Russian side to the DPRK-Russia Inter-governmental Committee for Cooperation in Trade, Economy, Science and Technology, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Mikhail Galujin, Vice-Minister of Defense Alexandr Fomin and other personages of the parliament, government, organizations and institutions, including the  Federation Council, the State Duma, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Interior.

Ambassador Sin Hong Chol and staff members of the DPRK embassy in Moscow were on hand.

The participants laid floral baskets and bouquets before the art work depicting President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il standing together and paid tribute to them.

Then they looked round photos showing the undying exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung, Chairman Kim Jong Il and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for the development of the DPRK-Russia friendly relations, works of the peerlessly great men and photos showing the national power and development of the DPRK.

Speeches were made at the reception.

Expressing thanks to the DPRK for its full support and solidarity with the Russian Federation, Alexandr Kozlov said that Russia is full of the will to develop practical cooperation in various fields in the interests of the peoples of the two countries. The issues of cooperation between the two countries will bring practical results, he added.

The ratification of the Treaty on the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the DPRK and the Russian Federation signed by President Putin and President of the State Affairs of the DPRK Kim Jong Un confirmed the traditional and allied relationship of Russia-DPRK friendly ties, Mikhail Galujin said, adding that the treaty would contribute to maintaining the strategic stability not only in the Korean peninsula and Northeast Asia but also in the rest of the world.

Alexandr Fomin said that the conclusion of a new inter-state treaty between Russia and the DPRK became a powerful driving force in the process of detente in Northeast Asia and would serve as the most solid foundation for maintaining the balance of forces in the region and realizing the plan for establishing a new Eurasian security system. And he expressed the belief that the traditional friendly relations between the two countries would make a great contribution to peace and security of the Korean peninsula and the rest of the world. -0-
