Pyongyang, September 13 (KCNA) -- The General Association of Koreans in China (GAKC) held celebrations on the occasion of the 77th founding anniversary of the DPRK.

On September 8 and 9, flower baskets in the name of the GAKC, the Association of Korean Women in China, the Zhongnan Regional Association and the Jilin Regional Association and the Jilin City branch under the GAKC and the family of Hwang Paek Ha, a Korean in China related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, were laid before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at Yuwen Middle School in Jilin and the portraits of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and art works depicting them at the DPRK embassy in Beijing and the DPRK mission in Shenyang.

Chairwoman Choe Un Bok and officials of the GAKC headquarters and its regional associations and Koreans in China paid tribute to the President and the Chairman, founding father of the socialist Korea and founder and builder of the powerful DPRK.

A film show took place at the conference room of the headquarters of the GAKC to be followed by round-table talks on Sept. 9.

Speakers praised the President as the founding father of socialist Korea who built the DPRK into a dignified socialist state independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence and led the Korean revolution to victory in a short span of time with his rare wisdom, iron faith and wise leadership.

They praised the Chairman as an iron-willed commander who firmly defended the destiny and future of the country and the people, holding high the red flag and arms in grim circumstances when socialism collapsed in different countries one after another and the imperialists' moves to isolate and stifle the DPRK reached the extremes.

They stressed that the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un is a peerless statesman and patriot who is building the DPRK into the strongest military power with powerful self-defensive capabilities that no one dares to provoke and a prosperous power where the ideals and dreams of the DPRK people have been fully realized.

The speakers pledged to firmly believe and follow the respected Marshal only as the pillar of their minds and further consolidate the GAKC into the overseas revolutionary organization of the Marshal, no matter how many times the world may change. -0-
