Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Receives Greetings from Indian President

Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and supreme commander of the armed forces of the DPRK, received a message of greeting from Droupadi Murmu, president of the Republic of India, on Sept. 4.

The message said:

Excellency,

It gives me great pleasure to extend warm congratulations to you, your government and the people of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea on the occasion of your nation's Foundation Day.

India and DPRK share bilateral ties of friendship and cooperation rooted in our history. Our countries marked 50 years of diplomatic relations last year. I am certain that our ties are poised to grow in the future.
