Pyongyang, October 18 (KCNA) -- Events took place in various countries from September 30 to October 12 on the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.

They included meetings, book, photo and stamp exhibitions and film shows in China, Nepal, Laos, Myanmar, Pakistan, Denmark, Bulgaria, Sweden, Austria, Iceland, France, Finland, Nigeria and Mexico.

Present at the events were personages of political parties, governments, parliaments, organizations and institutions in those countries and members of organizations for the study of the Juche idea and friendly and solidarity organizations with the Korean people.

Screened at the film shows were films dealing with the exploits the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un performed in his external activities and videos on the sacred journey of the WPK.

Speeches were made at the events.

Congratulatory messages to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the events held in Nepal, Denmark, Sweden and Iceland. -0-
