Pyongyang, February 24 (KCNA) -- The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un received congratulatory messages and letters from different countries on the occasion of the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Congratulatory messages and letters came from the chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, the chairperson of the Party for Peace and Unity of Russia, the chairman of the Socialist Political Party for Just Russia and the chairman of the Mozambique Liberation Front Party.

Also, similar messages and letters were sent by personages of political and social circles in Russia, Germany, Bulgaria and Sweden.

In the messages and letters, they extended the warmest congratulations to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the Ninth WPK Congress.

They stressed that for the past five years after its Eighth Congress the WPK has led the Korean people's struggle for the comprehensive national rejuvenation to victory, overcoming all challenges and difficulties.

They expressed belief that the Korean people would achieve greater successes in the struggle to attain the goals set forth at the Ninth Congress of the WPK under the wise leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

Meanwhile, the general secretary of the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Portugal and personages of political and social circles and representatives of organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people in Pakistan, Italy and South Africa sent congratulatory messages to the Central Committee of the WPK, and the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Bulgarian Communists' Party sent a congratulatory message to the Ninth Congress of the WPK. -0-
