Pyongyang, February 16 (KCNA) -- The DPRK embassy in Beijing hosted a reception on Feb. 13 to celebrate the 83rd birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Present there on invitation were Zhou Qiang, vice-chairperson of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and officials concerned of China, including those of the Foreign Ministry, the International Liaison Department of the C.C., Communist Party of China, the Central Military Commission, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuratorate, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of State Security, the State Office for International Development and Cooperation, the State Immigration Bureau, the General Administration of Customs, the People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Communist Youth League, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and the All-China Women's Federation.

Ambassador Ri Ryong Nam and staff members of the DPRK embassy were on hand.
