Pyongyang, December 10 (KCNA) -- DPRK players are bagging gold medals at the 2024 International Weightlifting Federation World Championships.

Kang Hyon Gyong, a player of the DPRK, won three gold medals in the women's 55kg category on December 8, with lift of 100kg in snatch, 126kg in jerk and 226kg in total.

Ri Won Ju and Pak Pyol won three gold medals and two silver medals in the men's 67kg category.

Ri Won Ju took the first place in jerk and total by lifting 146kg in snatch and 190kg in jerk (new world record), 336 kg in total. Pak Pyol came first in snatch with lift of 150kg and second in jerk and total with lift of 182kg and 332kg. -0-
