Pyongyang, April 13 (KCNA) -- The 2025 AFC U-17 Asian Cup is under way in Saudi Arabia.

The tournament brought together teams of 16 countries including the DPRK, China, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.

The DPRK team, belonging to Group D, drew 1:1 with the Iranian team in the first group league match. And it beat the Tajikistan team 3:0 and drew 2:2 with the Oman team.

As a result, it proceeded to the quarterfinals, with five points in total and as the second in the group standing. -0-
