Pyongyang, May 28 (KCNA) -- Celebrations were held in the Osaka Prefectural Headquarters, the Hyogo Prefectural Headquarters, the Aichi Prefectural Headquarters, the Hiroshima Prefectural Headquarters and the Fukuoka Prefectural Headquarters of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) on May 24 and 25 on the occasion of the 70th founding anniversary of Chongryon.

The reporters and speakers said that Chongryon has been founded and developed thanks to the gifted wisdom and wise leadership of the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.

They stressed that the letter "Let Us Write a New Great Chapter in the History of the Movement of Koreans in Japan by Carrying Forward the Patriotic Spirit of the Founder Generation" sent by the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un to the officials of Chongryon and the Koreans in Japan on the occasion of the 70th founding anniversary of Chongryon is an important guideline for making a great new history of the movement of Koreans in Japan by carrying forward the traditions of loyalty, unity and love for the country and nation created by the founder generation of Chongryon.

They called upon all the officials and compatriots to more powerfully demonstrate the might of Chongryon with the faith in sure victory and make all-out efforts to usher in an era of comprehensive development of the movement of Koreans in Japan under the guidance of the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un in the future, too, as they have covered the road of patriotism, regarding the transparent outlook on the leader and the motherland as their lifeblood over the past seven decades.

A video dealing with the 70-year-long history of Chongryon was screened at the events and performances and receptions were given. -0-
