Pyongyang, January 9 (KCNA) -- The General Association of Koreans in China held celebrations on the occasion of the New Year 2026.

Officials and members of the GAKC, the Association of Korean Women in China, the Jilin Regional Association under the GAKC and the family of the chairman of the Jilin Regional Association laid flower baskets before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at Yuwen Middle School in Jilin of China.

The participants paid tribute to the President, the founding father of socialist Korea and benevolent father of overseas Koreans.

Officials of the GAKC and members of Shenyang and Dandong city branches of the Liaoning Regional Association under the GAKC placed the flower baskets in the name of the GAKC and the Liaoning Regional Association before the portraits of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and photos of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un at the DPRK missions in Shenyang and Dandong and made a bow to them.

A study of the report on the revolutionary activities of Kim Jong Un took place at the conference hall of the GAKC in Shenyang City on January 4.

Present there were Chairwoman Choe Un Bok, First Vice-Chairman Ri Sun Nam of the GAKC and other officials of its headquarters, and members of the Federation of Korean Economic Workers in China, the Association of Young Korean Nationals in China and the Shenyang City branch of the Liaoning Regional Association under the GAKC. -0-
