Pyongyang, May 11 (KCNA) -- The Central Educational Information Center under the Ministry of Education in the DPRK is stepping up the project to put education on a modern and IT basis of higher level.

It has updated the integrated educational information system to prove its effectiveness in the educational work, while standardizing the educational resources according to categories.

Giving guidance to the provincial educational aid program centers with a correct methodology, it is setting the five-year goal for making education IT-based.

It has also published a magazine introducing essays on IT-based education and dealing with the development of educational aid programs and high-tech products and the new teaching methods created in the course of putting all the educational contents on a practical, comprehensive and modern basis.

It is making the excellent educational resources in Pyongyang available to the educational institutions in other parts of the country and providing lots of new data to them. -0-
