Pyongyang, January 19 (KCNA) -- Workers of various units in the mining industry of the DPRK are making innovations in the production of minerals and nonferrous metals.
The Unpha Mine has applied rational drilling and blasting methods according to the conditions of mineral deposits and directed efforts to increasing the transport capacity to ramp up production.
The Riwon Mine has increased the output per hour by introducing neutralizing agent of blast gas to shorten the time of entrance into faces and raising the operation rate of rock drills and compressors. And the Inphyong Youth Mine concentrates efforts and means on restoring the flooded pits, expanding the cutting faces and tunneling.
Yongyu, Phungnyon and Jungsan mines are concentrating on solving technical problems arising in improving the performance of equipment to boost the production of minerals both in quality and quantity.
The Munphyong Smeltery is carrying out its plans on all indices by ensuring the normal operation of calcination-sulfuric acid production process, electrolysis process and zinc oxide production process and taking innovative measures for recycling waste materials in a timely manner.
