Pyongyang, August 5 (KCNA) -- In rural areas of the DPRK, mowing is stepped up as part of the preparations for next year's farming.

Rangnang, Mangyongdae and Sunan districts of Pyongyang have concentrated manpower and machinery on the mowing while conducting such various farming processes as the prevention of damage by insects and the fertilization of crops.

Hochon, Jongphyong and Yonggwang counties of South Hamgyong Province have carried out their daily quotas for the production of green manure at over 110 percent.

Similar successes are witnessed in North and South Hwanghae, South Phyongan and Jagang provinces, too. -0-
