Pyongyang, December 21 (KCNA) -- Officials and working people across the DPRK have turned out in the work to develop and use natural energy.

Officials of the Ministry of Electric Power Industry have learnt about the problems arising in supplying and installing equipment and materials needed for building a solar power station and taken relevant measures, and intensified technical guidance to ensure its normal operation.

The Natural Energy Power Technology Exchange Company under the Ministry of Electric Power Industry has pushed ahead with the construction of the gird-connected solar power station, thus creating more generating capacity across the country this year alone.

The Sericulture and Silk Industrial Bureau, the Pyongyang Textile Machine Factory, the Kumhwa Mine, the Sonchon Mine and other units and houses across the country are making effective use of solar energy resources. -0-
