Pyongyang, May 6 (KCNA) -- South Hwanghae Province in the DPRK has concentrated all its efforts on weeding tens of thousands of hectares of wheat and barley fields.

Many provincial organs and industrial establishments have finished weeding the fields in their charge by rationally organizing manpower and work.

Ongjin and Kangryong counties have achieved good results by ensuring the quality and speed of weeding.

Jangyon, Anak, Sinchon, Chongdan and Unryul counties have spread nutrient solution and agricultural chemicals on the fields after weeding, thus promoting the growth of wheat and barley and preventing the yield reduction by harmful insects.

Haeju City, Samchon, Pongchon and Sinwon counties and other areas finished weeding wheat and barley fields in a qualitative way. -0-
