Publication Guidance Bureau Marks Its 80th Founding Anniversary

Pyongyang, March 26 (KCNA) -- The Publication Guidance Bureau in the DPRK marked its 80th founding anniversary.

President Kim Il Sung created a precious tradition of revolutionary publications in the flames of the anti-Japanese war. After the liberation of Korea, he made sure that a mechanism for guiding the publishing and printing activities in a specialized way was set up to provide a powerful weapon for training the broad masses of the people to be the motive force of the revolution and powerfully arousing them to socialist construction.

Chairman Kim Jong Il established a well-regulated system for disseminating publications and led the bureau to fully discharge its responsibility and role in arming the officials and working people with the ideas of the Workers' Party of Korea and enlisting them in implementing the Party's policies.

Thanks to the deep trust and love of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un opening up a period of new efflorescence in the publication work in the new era of the Juche revolution, the bureau has contributed to redoubling the might of the revolutionary ideological offensive and accelerating the overall development of Korean-style socialism.

A commemorative meeting was held on March 25, with the attendance of officials and employees of the bureau. -0-
