Pyongyang, September 20 (KCNA) -- Semifinals of the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup took place between the DPRK and U.S. teams on Sept. 18 (local time).

The DPRK team, which had put pressure on the rival team with a strong attack from the start of the match, succeeded in scoring in 22 minutes with a good left-foot shot by player Choe Il Son.

The DPRK team beat its U.S. rival 1:0 in the match.

The DPRK women's football players will play the finals with the Japanese team on Sept. 22 (local time). -0-
