Pyongyang, February 14 (KCNA) -- Officials and shock brigade members of the waterway construction division are pushing ahead with the project for overhauling the Kaechon-Lake Thaesong and Phyongnam irrigation waterways at the final stage.

The Pyongyang Municipal Brigade finished the project for concrete covering of some parts of the waterway tunnels till November last year and completed the project for waterway tunnel in the area of Komhung-ri in Sukchon County.

The North Hamgyong Provincial Brigade has overfulfilled its daily project task by raising the operating rate of equipment and introducing valuable technical innovations. The South Hamgyong Provincial Brigade has increased the working speed and quality, ensuring mixing ratio of concrete mixture.

The Nampho Municipal Brigade and the South Phyongan Provincial Brigade have introduced a rational method to shorten the hardening time and made good result in concrete tamping, giving precedence to transporting materials.

The Jagang Provincial Brigade finished the concrete covering project of the section under its charge in a qualitative way and the Taedong Irrigation Construction Brigade completed the waterway tunnel project, pushing ahead with the concrete covering and muck conveying in a three-dimensional way. -0-
