Pyongyang, November 15 (KCNA) -- The respected Marshal Kim Jong Un received a letter from the participants in the 2024 Conference of Representatives of Branches of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) on Nov. 10.

The letter said that thanks to the leadership of the respected Marshal over the building of the basic organizations of Chongryon, it was possible to glorify the conference as an epochal occasion in raising the function and role of the branches in every way and putting the work of the branches on a new stage.

It stressed that they would build all the branches into lively organizations full of national character, devote time and effort to the national education, the mainstay of the movement of Koreans in Japan, and conduct vigorous activities for preserving the excellent folk customs and tradition of the Korean nation, thus making the compatriots of all ages and both sexes live as genuine Koreans having the soul of the DPRK and the nation.

It expressed the will to further develop the movement for creating patriotic examples in a new heyday into a movement for intensifying the branches of new type and thus turn the appearance of the branches into the ones embracing all the masses of compatriots as masters.

It said that all the members of the branch committees and officials of the basic organizations of Chongryon would achieve innovative successes in the work of the branches to bring about a new era of prosperity of Chongryon by displaying high sense of responsibility and devotion, true to the important instructions of the respected Marshal, and thus repay his great love and trust with patriotic loyalty. -0-
