Pyongyang, May 5 (KCNA) -- Fishery units in Kangwon Province of the DPRK are putting spurs to building up material and technical foundations.

The Songdowon Fishery Station is pushing ahead with the building of multi-purpose fishing boat equipped with modern fishing tackle at the final stage.

The employees of the Thongchon Fishery Station are overhauling the condition of fishing boats and repairing engines, hulls and fishing tackle.

The Kosong Offshore Farm and the Thongchon Ship Repair Factory completed the subgrade repair in the water section by securing wire ropes, sleepers and rails and rationally organizing manpower.

The employees of the Wonsan Seafood Production and Processing Station have created a mussel breeding ground after securing buoyant rafts, ropes, etc.

The Jangjin Fishery Station has taken measures to supply materials for the ship repairing and the wharf construction project in order to increase the performance of fishing boats. -0-
