The Hyesan Youth Mine overfulfilled its quarterly plan by applying efficient mining methods according to the conditions of ore deposit while pushing ahead with the pit construction for deep development.

The workers at the Unpha Mine revitalized production through a mass technological innovation movement to shorten the turnaround time of mine vehicles and improve the grade of concentrated ore.

The December 5 Youth Mine remodeled the driving gears of refrigeration crystallization equipment and readjusted and repaired equipment to increase the output of crystal mirabilite.

The workers of the Oil Mine and the Inphyong Youth Mine have brought about good results every day by increasing the operation rate of cutting face equipment and drainage system and directing efforts to restoring flooded drifts and expanding stopes. And the Riwon Mine increased the output per hour by shortening the time of advance into cutting face by introducing blasting gas neutralizer.

The Phungnyon Mine increased the production of phosphorous concentrate both in quality and quantity.

The Munphyong Smeltery carried out its plan on indices by ensuring the normal operation of systems while stepping up the technical preparations for establishing a new sulfuric acid production process and reducing energy consumption.

The Manpho Smeltery has pushed ahead with the technical development for supplying raw materials, realizing the domestic production of equipment and materials and reducing costs and made effective use of the existing capacity to improve production. -0-
