Pyongyang, July 21 (KCNA) -- The Taean Heavy Machine Complex in the DPRK is concentrating its efforts on updating the performance of equipment.

The technical development section introduced an automatic control system into heat-treating furnaces and established an efficient dust-collecting and ventilation system in the electric furnace, thus contributing to improving the quality of materials and productivity per unit time.

The repairs and maintenance unit introduced an efficient processing method to the 16-meter turning lathe and resolved the technical problem arising in modernizing the 4-meter turning lathe.

The gear reducer workshop and the generating equipment assembling workshop are producing great gears of the grinding mill and custom-built equipment in good time, and the large-sized machine workshop is manufacturing more than 40 kinds of parts badly needed for the readjustment and reinforcement of equipment of various sectors of the national economy.

The sheet metal processing unit invented and introduced efficient jigs and is speeding up the technical updating of the production line.

Meanwhile, the complex completed the construction project for establishing a waste oil recycling process with a great capacity by utilizing advanced construction methods and technical innovation proposals and is manufacturing equipment. -0-
