Reception Given for Overseas Compatriots
Pyongyang, October 13 (KCNA) -- A reception was given for overseas compatriots on Sunday to celebrate the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Present there on invitation were a congratulatory group of Koreans in Japan, a congratulatory group of the General Association of Koreans in China (GAKC), a congratulatory group of the International Social Confederation of Koreans, a delegation carrying the letter of loyalty sent by the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan, a delegation carrying the letter of loyalty sent by the GAKC, a delegation of Koreans in China and a delegation of Korean social scientists in Japan for celebrating the 80th founding anniversary of the WPK.
Present there were Ri Son Gwon, department director of the WPK Central Committee, and officials concerned.
Ri Son Gwon made a speech at the reception.

He said that the life and dignity of the overseas compatriots devoting their sincerity to the country are shining at the peak thanks to the tender care of the WPK which defends and protects the destiny and future of all Koreans with the sure guarantee of defending the sovereignty and absolute mightiness.
The 80-year-long history of the WPK ushering in a period of leap forward of transformation and miracle and a period of efflorescence of steady advance and development upsurge, in which the dream and ideal of the people are translated into reality, will be carried on forever as it is led by the peerlessly great man, he stressed.
