Newspapers on Heroic Feats Performed by CPV Brave Fighters in Korean War

Pyongyang, October 25 (KCNA) -- Leading newspapers of the DPRK on Wednesday dedicate articles to the 73rd anniversary of the entry of the Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) into the Korean front.

The great victory in the Fatherland Liberation War is associated with the undying feats performed by the CPV brave fighters who devoted their blood and lives to the sacred war of annihilating the common enemy shoulder to shoulder with the army of the DPRK, says Rodong Sinmun.

The precious tradition of Korea-China friendship provided in the flames of the anti-Japanese war was further consolidated into the ties of kindred sharing blood and destiny in the same trench during the last Fatherland Liberation War, the paper says, and goes on:

The heroic feats of excellent sons and daughters of the Chinese people in the three-year war against the U.S. imperialism, common enemy of the DPRK and Chinese peoples, are recorded on the shores of Lake Jangjin and River Chongchon, the Height 391 and all other parts of this land.

In those days many heroic soldiers including Mao Anying, Qiu Shaoyun and Sun Zhanyuan were produced.

The heroic feats performed by the CPV fighters in the flames of the war were a striking demonstration of the solidity and might of the DPRK-China friendship. The stories about their feats will be handed down to posterity as a brilliant record of the noble revolutionary friendship and militant comradeship between the DPRK and Chinese peoples.

Minju Joson says that it is a historic mission of the peoples of the two countries to creditably carry forward the traditional relations of friendship, not forgetting the feats of the forerunners recorded in the history of the DPRK-China friendship. -0-
