Pyongyang, August 15 (KCNA) -- A delegation of the State Duma of the Russian Federation led by Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin on Thursday visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun and paid tribute to President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.

He was accompanied by Kang Yun Sok, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, Pak In Chol, chairman of the Supreme People's Assembly, and Aleksandr Matsegora, Russian ambassador to the DPRK.

Members of the delegation paid high tribute to the statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il who made immortal contributions to the accomplishment of the cause of independence against imperialism and the development of the friendly relations between the DPRK and Russia through their energetic external activities.

At the halls where the great leaders lie in state, they paid tribute to them with reverence. -0-
