Pyongyang, May 15 (KCNA) -- The embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Pyongyang organized a photo exhibition and a friendly gathering at the Taedonggang Diplomatic Club on May 14 to congratulate the successful holding of the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea and the 14th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Displayed at the venue of the exhibition were photos showing the immortal exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung, Chairman Kim Jong Il and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un together with the party and state leaders of Vietnam for the development of the friendly relations between the two parties and the two countries.

Present there on invitation were Pak Sang Gil, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and officials concerned.

Present there were Le Hoai Trung, member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., the CPV and foreign minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on a visit to the DPRK as a special envoy of To Lam, general secretary of the CPV Central Committee and president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and his party and Le Ba Vinh, Vietnamese ambassador to the DPRK, and his embassy members.

The participants looked round the photos.
