Concert Marks 75th Anniversary of DPRK

Pyongyang, September 5 (KCNA) -- A concert of art group members from the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace and the Pyongyang Schoolchildren's Palace was given at the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace here on Monday to celebrate the 75th founding anniversary of the DPRK.

The concert started with the prelude "Our Country Is the Best". Put on the stage were such colorful numbers as a female chorus "Song of Korea", an immortal classic, sohaegum (Korean folk instrument) and cello ensemble "The Embrace of My Motherland", an immortal classic, quartet "The Fluttering Flag of the Republic", folk chorus "My Country Is the World of Children" and instrumental ensemble for Janggu presentation "We Are the Happiest in the World".

The performers impressively sang of the undying feats of Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, the great leaders who devoted their tireless devotion and efforts to the bright future of the rising generations all their life.

What captured the house were numbers showing the world of noble love of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un who has put forward the Children's Union members as the precious treasure of the country and bestowed great benevolence on them.

Among the audience were Han Kwang Ho, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, officials concerned, officials of the youth league, students of Mangyongdae Revolutionary School and Kang Pan Sok Revolutionary School and schoolchildren in Pyongyang Municipality. -0-
