Review of Rodong Sinmun

Pyongyang, June 21 (KCNA) -- Following are major news items and articles in Rodong Sinmun, a leading newspaper of the DPRK, on Friday:

- The European Regional Committee for Friendship with the Korean People sent a floral basket to the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill.

- Successes have been made in different sectors of the national economy.

- The 76th meeting of the National Sports Guidance Committee took place.

- Workers and trade union members met to pledge revenge and officials and members of the women's union met with a woman who witnessed the brutal murder to mark June 25, the day of struggle against U.S. imperialism

- Ceremonies for moving into new houses took place at the Phyongmu Farm and the Kumdong Unjong tea cultivation ground in Kangryong County, South Hwanghae Province.

- There were ceremonies for inaugurating the Phyongsong Schoolchildren's Footwear Factory and a lodging quarter of sportspersons in the sports village of South Phyongan Province.
