Pyongyang, March 23 (KCNA) -- Organizations of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea in South Phyongan Province of the DPRK are arousing the agricultural workers to spring tree planting.

The provincial committee of the UAWK has generalized the experience of advanced units in tree planting and introduced positive deeds made by agricultural workers so that everyone can take part in tree planting voluntarily.

The Mundok County Committee of the UAWK mapped out a plan to secure tens of thousands of saplings and create pine-nut tree, Evodia daniellii Benn and oil-bearing chestnut tree forests in one hundred and tens of hectares of mountains. And it has encouraged its officials and agricultural workers to devote their sincere efforts to carrying it into practice.

The Phyongwon County Committee of the UAWK is intensifying a socialist emulation to plant more trees of good species and high economic value in the forests of hundreds of hectares by arousing agricultural workers in the county.

The Taedong County Committee of the UAWK worked out a plan to create forests of raw materials for paper in tens of hectares of mountains and is encouraging its officials and agricultural workers to plant bamboo willow and Sangwon poplar trees.

UAWK committees in Tokchon City and Hoechang and Sinyang counties, too, are directing efforts to creating woodland of high economic effectiveness and high utilization value. -0-
