Russian President's Visit to DPRK Welcomed: Newspapers of DPRK

Pyongyang, June 18 (KCNA) -- At the invitation of Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, president of the Russian Federation, will pay a visit to the DPRK.

Leading newspapers of the DPRK Tuesday in editorials say that the DPRK people warmly welcome President Putin visiting with the feelings of friendship of the brave and righteous Russian people.

His visit to the DPRK is a significant occasion of weighty significance in developing the DPRK-Russia good-neighborly relations onto a new high stage, Rodong Sinmun says, adding:

The deep-rooted relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries are now greeting a new heyday under the deep care of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and the respected President Putin.

Kim Jong Un made precious and satisfactory agreements with Putin, paying a goodwill visit to the Russian Federation twice. Those agreements became a sure milestone for comprehensively and more vigorously developing the DPRK-Russia relations of friendship and cooperation in keeping with the requirements of the new era and the complicated international political situation.

In September last, he had a historic meeting with Putin at the Vostochny Spaceport and visited the world-leading space launching base under his guidance and looked round the military, economic, scientific, educational and cultural achievements made by the Russian people. Such historic scenes greatly moved the peoples of the two countries and drew the world attention to a great extent.

Putin's heartwarming hospitality towards Kim Jong Un, the cordial hospitality transcending the custom, was a clear manifestation of the deep friendship and comradely relationship between the top leaders of the two countries.

The contact and cooperation between the DPRK and Russia are getting stronger day by day and substantial progress is being made to contribute to realizing the interests of their peoples under the agreements reached by the top leaders of the two countries.

Putin's visit to the DPRK will add a brilliant page to the history of friendship and solidarity between the peoples of the two countries and give fresh vitality to the development of the good-neighborly cooperative relations between the two countries.

Minju Joson says that the DPRK people sincerely hope that Putin will achieve greater success, through his visit to the DPRK, and spend pleasant and significant days amid their warm and sincere hospitality towards the friendship mission of Russia. -0-
