Pyongyang, December 21 (KCNA) -- In Sepho County of Kangwon Province, too, modern regional-industry factories have been built as another asset of prosperity to translate into reality the centuries-old desire of the regional people who want to lead a life as affluent and civilized as in a city.

On Dec. 20, there took place an inauguration ceremony of the regional-industry factories built in Sepho County under the Regional Development 20×10 Policy.

Present there were O Su Yong, general advisor for the economic policy of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of Kangwon Province and Sepho County, working people, soldier-builders and employees of those factories.

O Su Yong addressed the ceremony.

The speaker extended warm encouragement and congratulations to all the residents of the county who have greeted the inauguration of those factories guaranteeing the prosperity and development of the county on the occasion of the hopeful New Year.

He said that the number of foundations for regional development with modernity, civilization and profitability is increasing in Kangwon Province with many monumental edifices, including a sea of apple trees at the foot of Chol Pass, a stockbreeding base on the vast Sepho Plateau and power stations full of the self-reliance spirit, adding that this is a significant auspicious event that convinces the people of the future of Kangwon Province to be civilized day by day.

He called upon all the officials and working people to strive more courageously to successfully carry out the Party's policy for regional development in the vanguard of the times as befitting the creators of the great spirit of Kangwon Province highly praised by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, and to bring earlier the day when the beloved rising generations and people will lead a highly civilized and affluent life in the changed areas.

Then, Pae Chang Gon, chief secretary of the Sepho County Committee of the WPK, made a speech.

Thanks to the endless devotion and efforts made by the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un to provide the local people with a new life of civilization and new wellbeing, the residents of the county have come to bring about a brighter future by cultivating the fruits of happiness by their own efforts in their region, the speaker said with excitement.

He expressed his resolve to further consolidate the county into a firm support and a powerful fortress reliably supporting the cause of the Party and the development of the state with the noble sense of mission that he has assumed full responsibility for the work of his county, one of the regional bases of the country, before the Party and the state.

O Su Yong cut the inauguration tape with employees of those factories.

Confetti was thrown and balloons rose up into the air, adding to the atmosphere of celebration.

At the end of the ceremony the participants looked round factories with modern production lines.

The participants were delighted to see all kinds of daily necessities and foodstuffs being produced at the splendid and wonderful factories.

A colorful art performance and a cheerful dancing party were given and fireworks were set off to add to the joy of the inauguration. -0-
