Farmers Move into New Houses in North Phyongan Province

Pyongyang, May 26 (KCNA) -- The Posong Farm in Tongrim County, North Phyongan Province of the DPRK is filled with pleasure of the people now that new villages take on their beautiful appearances across the country.

The modern houses built in a cozy way, suited to the peculiar features of the countryside, are the cradle of happiness provided under the energetic leadership of the great Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea which is ushering in a new era, a new history of rural development, in which rural areas are undergoing great transformations under the noble people-first political idea.

A ceremony of moving into new houses took place on the spot on May 24.

Present there were Pak Song Chol, chief secretary of the North Phyongan Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Ri Yong Chol, chairman of the provincial people's committee, officials of the Party and power organs, builders and owners of new dwelling houses in the county.

A congratulatory speech was made at the meeting.

Licenses for the use of houses were handed over and speeches were made there.

Amid a dancing party, officials visited the new houses and congratulated their owners. -0-
