Floral Tribute Paid to Statues of Great Leaders

Pyongyang, January 30 (KCNA) -- Officials, working people, service personnel and school youth and children of the DPRK paid floral tribute to the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il in different parts of the country on the occasion of the lunar New Year's Day.

Placed at the statues of the great leaders on Mansu Hill were floral baskets, together with bouquets, in the name of the Party, power and armed forces organs, social organizations, ministries, national agencies, units of the Korean People's Army and the Public Security Forces, and institutions, industrial establishments and universities at all levels in the capital city of Pyongyang.

The visitors paid high tribute to the peerlessly great men, deeply recollecting the immortal exploits of the President and the Chairman who had devoted their all to making the time-honored history and culture of the Korean nation shine more brilliantly before the world.

Floral baskets in the name of institutions, enterprises, units of the KPA and the PSF and others were laid before the statues of the great leaders at Kim Il Sung University, the Ministry of National Defence, the Mansudae Art Studio and other places in Pyongyang.

Officials, working people, service personnel and school youth and children across the country visited the statues of the great leaders in their residential areas to pay high tribute to them. -0-
