Mt Myohyang is famous for its magnificent and mysterious peaks, big rocks and deep valleys, high cliffs, crystal-clear water and waterfalls, thick forests, twittering of birds and sound of babbling brooks.
The mountaineering route covering picturesque Sangwon Ravine, Manphok Ravine famous for waterfalls and Piro Peak (now called Hyangbiro Peak) fragrant with alpine plants has facilities for providing the visitors with maximum convenience and safety and many pavilions and recreation places.

Visiting the mountain one day in May 1981, he came to know that the mountaineering route had not yet been opened. So, he climbed the cliff road to open up more than 24-kilometer-long mountaineering route in the area of Piro Peak and chose the sites for pavilions and recreation places. He also gave detailed instructions on the issues related to the organization of mountaineering on a wide scale, the period of climbing according to ages, the route and the place of lodging.
