Pyongyang, January 17 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Saturday in an editorial says that the path covered by the Socialist Patriotic Youth League is shining as the glorious annals in which it has invariably followed the road of loyalty and patriotism under the leadership of the great Workers' Party of Korea.

The 80-year-long history of the youth league is a proud course as it has invariably preserved its revolutionary nature of being intensely loyal to the ideas and cause of the WPK for a long period, the editorial says, and goes on:

The 80 years of victory and glory covered by the youth league have recorded in history the proud review that there are the main lifeline of existence and development of the youth organization and the worthwhile life of our young people on the road of holding the outstanding leader in high esteem and remaining faithful to his ideas and leadership.

The Korean youth movement is the revolutionary cause of the leader that can be linked only with the immortal exploits of the great leader, and herein lies the eternal lifeline of our youth organization.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un is the great teacher and tender-hearted father bringing up the young people to be reliable successors to the dignified WPK and masters shouldering the future of our socialist state.

He placed deep trust in young people living in gloom, saying that it is the firm will of the WPK to take all the young people born and grown up on this land to communist society. Under his loving care, all the youths on this land are preparing themselves to be young revolutionaries and patriots who know the country, revolution and requital.

Young men and women, unite firmly around the great Party Central Committee with patriotism and more vigorously struggle for the victorious advance of the socialist cause and for the prosperity and mightiness of our state.
