Pyongyang, May 30 (KCNA) -- The 2024 spring aesthetic symposium in the urban management sector of the DPRK took place at the Sci-Tech Complex here on May 29 through video-conferencing.
The symposium, held on the theme of "City beautification and living environment", was aimed at improving the city beautification by generalizing the successes and experience gained in the work to spruce up Pyongyang and provincial seats in April, a month of city beautification, and by analyzing and reviewing the revealed shortcomings and causes.
Present there were Im Kyong Jae, minister of Urban Management, officials concerned, officials, scientists, technicians, teachers and graduate students in the fields of urban management, design, supervision and education in Pyongyang and provinces.
Ri Kwang Sik, department director of the Ministry of Urban Management, made a speech.
A video on the work for sprucing up Pyongyang and provincial seats was shown at the symposium. Then, a lecture on science and technology was given to theoretically explain the issues arising in the formation of tone of color for the exterior of buildings, the landscaping in spring and the decoration of urban lights.
There was also a show of video dealing with advanced scientific and technological data related to greening and disposal of waste. -0-
