Pyongyang, May 28 (KCNA) -- Dozens of young people in Kangwon Province of the DPRK have volunteered to work at major worksites for socialist construction.

Graduates of technical senior middle schools in Munchon City and other places went to the raw materials base stations with a resolve to turn their native lands into a socialist paradise good to work and live in.

Those of senior middle schools in Wonsan City requested their youth league organizations to send them to the road repair and management station.

Those of senior middle schools and technical senior middle schools in Changdo, Kosan and Thongchon counties vowed to work at construction brigades and youth road platoons in their regions.

A meeting was held in Wonsan City on May 27 to congratulate the volunteers.

Petition certificates were awarded to the volunteers and congratulatory and oath-taking speeches were made at the meeting attended by officials concerned and youth league officials, youth and students in the province.

Presenting bouquets to the volunteers leaving for their new posts, officials, working people and youths in the province warmly saw them off. -0-
