Pyongyang, February 24 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, received a congratulatory message from To Lam, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, on February 22.

The message said:

On behalf of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and on my own behalf, I extend the warmest congratulations to you, Comrade, on your reelection as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea.

I am convinced that the fraternal Workers' Party of Korea and Korean people will achieve greater successes in building a prosperous state and accomplishing the cause for the people's happiness under your leadership.

Vietnam desires to continue cultivating the cooperative relations between the two parties and the two countries in a substantial and effective way and in the interests of the two peoples and contribute to peace, stability, cooperation and development of the region and the world, together with the DPRK, and is ready for it.

I wish that the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Workers' Party of Korea and between Vietnam and the DPRK will further consolidate and develop with each passing day.
