Timber Production Increased in DPRK

Pyongyang, March 27 (KCNA) -- Officials and working people in the field of forestry of the DPRK are making innovations in the timber production needed for major construction sites.

The Jagang Provincial Forestry Management Bureau has overfulfilled its daily quota by increasing the proportion of mechanization in work and increasing the loading capacity of vehicles.

The Ryanggang Provincial Forestry Management Bureau has ensured the continuity of processes and introduced a transport method suited to the mountainous conditions.

The South Hamgyong Provincial Forestry Management Bureau has overfulfilled its daily quota by launching a socialist emulation among stations and workteams and providing conditions for production.

Forestry stations and mine timber production stations in Kangwon and South Phyongan provinces have expanded successes in the timber production by conducting a brisk campaign in which one overtakes and learns from others and swaps experiences with them. -0-
