Housing Construction Progresses Apace in Flood-hit Areas of DPRK

Pyongyang, November 18 (KCNA) -- The construction of dwelling houses is gaining momentum in the flood-hit areas of North Phyongan Province.

Soldier-builders have pushed ahead with the project for tens of kilometers-long embankment at the final stage while helping the members of the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade in housing construction.

The units of the People's Army sent competent commanding officers and skilled persons to help the youth shock brigade members step up the housing construction in a qualitative way and provided construction equipment and materials in a far-sighted way to make signal progress in the finishing work including the plastering and the tile-setting.

The construction successes have been steadily expanded thanks to the efforts of soldier-builders who are accelerating the construction of infrastructure and facilities on a full scale together with the youth shock brigade members. -0-
