Pyongyang, April 27 (KCNA) -- The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and the participants in the inauguration ceremony of the Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at the Overseas Military Operations received a letter from Comrade Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, president of the Russian Federation.

I extend my heartfelt greetings to you on the occasion of the inauguration of the Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at the Overseas Military Operations in Pyongyang.

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un,

On the first anniversary of the liberation of Kursk land from the aggressors, I express my deep thanks to you and to all the comrades who made a contribution to carrying out this large-scale plan in the shortest possible time.

The militant friendship between Russia and the DPRK has a glorious history.

At the end of World War II, the Soviet Army, together with the Korean patriots, provided assistance to freeing your country from Japan's colonial rule and to defending the independence of the DPRK in the fight against foreign aggressors in the 1950s.

Today, when the enemies occupied some parts of Kursk, Pyongyang helped us resolutely without hesitation.

The Korean soldiers, fighting shoulder to shoulder with the Russian comrades-in-arms, displayed their extraordinary bravery and genuine devotion and glorified themselves with immortal honor.

Their unrivalled feats will remain forever in the hearts of all Russian citizens.

This museum, which is being inaugurated with splendor today, has a mission to convey long the Korean People's Army soldiers' heroism and their sacrifices to the common victory.

This museum will undoubtedly be a clear symbol of the friendship and solidarity between the peoples of our two countries.

I am convinced that we will continue to strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between the Russian Federation and the DPRK by joint efforts.
